A performance that is both technical and poetic, Jann Gallois anchors her work around a sole and unique constraint: extreme and permanent contact. With a score of millimetric precision of almost architectural nature, Jann intertwines two bodies tangled together and pushes the notion of contact to the extreme to question the foundations of a relationship between two beings. For the duration of this dance, the two artists are but one. The duet therefore makes of itself a solo. Duality, fusion, and coexistence remain the keywords for this piece that is both soft and powerful. Violent, delicate, severe, and then burlesque each in turn, the dancers lead us into a whirlwind of emotions all the way to the moment of harmony so longed for.
