Florian Laze

Light Designer

Florian Laze learned the subtleties of lighting with Florent Avrillon before becoming technical director of the EVE theatre in Le Mans from 2015 to 2018. Now general technical manager for several companies (Contr’pied, Louis Barreau, Ex Novo, Théâtre en Actes), he creates lighting for various artists in the world of dance and theater: Antoine Arbeit (Cie Ex Novo), Agathe Pfauwadel (Cie Pasarela), Laura Morin and Marion Jousseaume (Cie Les Passantes), Pauline Yvard (Cie Contr’pied), Jean-François Cochet (Théâtre en Actes), Edwige Bage and Sophie Mourot (Cie À Trois Branches), Angélique Orvain (Mash-Up Production), Bastien Chrétien (Théâtre de Chaoué). He is also in charge of tour management for the shows for which he creates lighting, as well as certain pieces by other creators such as Françoise Michel, Stéphane Hulot and Olivier Clausse. Since 2017, Florian has been co-director of the Contr’pied company, with whom he has staged various shows combining dance, theater, poetry and music. In 2022, he launched the “TÖLE” poetry laboratories, inviting authors of contemporary poetry to read their texts aloud. In 2025, he joined the BurnOut company as lighting designer for the creation of Imminentes.
